Terms of use

Last updated 14 October 2026

The rules for using the ZidiPamoja website and the staff and member portals.

1. About ZidiPamoja

ZidiPamoja Technologies Ltd. (“ZidiPamoja”, “we”) provides software that SACCOs, Financial Services Associations, chamas, microfinance lenders and their head offices use to run their operations.

We are not a bank, SACCO or deposit-taker, and we do not hold members’ money. Your institution provides your accounts, decides on loans, sets interest, fees and limits, and is responsible to you for them.

2. Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to anyone who visits zidipamoja.com or uses the ZidiPamoja staff or member portals. By using them you accept these terms.

If you use ZidiPamoja through an institution, its service agreement with us and its own terms with you also apply. Where they cover your accounts or products differently, they take precedence over these terms.

3. Using the website

The website describes the platform and its roadmap. Some features it lists may be planned rather than available to every institution today, and figures in screenshots and illustrations are examples. Nothing on the website is financial advice or an offer of credit.

4. Portal accounts

  • Your institution creates your staff account or your member access.
  • Keep your password and one-time PINs secret and do not let anyone else use your account.
  • Tell your institution straight away if you think someone else has used your account or knows your password.
  • We or your institution may suspend access to protect you, other users or the platform.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the platform for fraud, money laundering or any other unlawful purpose;
  • look at data you are not authorised to see, or try to get around approvals, limits or security controls;
  • probe, scan or test our systems for weaknesses without our written permission;
  • disrupt or overload the service, introduce malicious code, or scrape data from it;
  • copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the software, except as the law allows;
  • pretend to be another person or institution.

If you find a security weakness, please report it to hello@zidipamoja.com and do not exploit it.

6. Transactions and third-party services

Transactions you make through the portals are carried out for your institution. M-Pesa and other mobile money, bank transfers, SMS and identity checks are provided by third parties under their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or errors.

Your institution sets transaction limits, such as the mobile withdrawal limit. Check the amount and the recipient before you confirm a payment; whether a payment can be reversed depends on the provider and your institution.

7. Intellectual property

The ZidiPamoja software, name, logo, designs and website content belong to ZidiPamoja or its licensors; open-source components are used under their own licences. You may use the portals only for their intended purpose. Institutions keep ownership of their own data.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the platform available and publish service targets, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. Maintenance can interrupt access, and we may change or withdraw features. We tell institutions about planned changes that affect them.

9. Liability

The website is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, or for loss caused by third-party services, by events beyond our reasonable control, or by someone using your credentials because you did not keep them secret.

Our responsibilities to institutions are set by our agreements with them. Nothing in these terms limits any liability or right that cannot be limited under Kenyan law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2012.

10. Privacy

Our privacy notice explains how we collect and use personal data.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the website or the portals after a change, you accept the updated terms; we will tell institutions about material changes.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If a dispute arises we will first try to settle it with you directly; if we cannot, the courts of Kenya will decide it.
